Tournament Information

The The First Major is an international competition and each contestant should be treated with courtesy and respect.

Everyone should adhere to traditional customs of etiquette, and behavior, and obey Tournament policies, signs and verbal instructions of Tournament officials.

No running is allowed.

Each spectator is allowed one stool/seat; it should not be unattended for any extended period. Seats in observation stands may not be reserved.

All ticket purchasers and holders consent to the reasonable inspection of his/her property before entering and/or during the Tournament.

Cell Phones, Cameras, & Electronic Devices

ELECTRONIC DEVICES (INCLUDING PHONES, LAPTOPS, TABLETS, AND BEEPERS) ARE STRICTLY PROHIBITED ON THE GROUNDS AT ALL TIMES. ANY DEVICE BEING USED TO RECORD AND/OR TRANSMIT VOICE, VIDEO, OR DATA IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED. CAMERAS ARE STRICTLY PROHIBITED ON TOURNAMENT DAYS. VIOLATION OF THESE POLICIES WILL SUBJECT THE TICKET HOLDER TO REMOVAL FROM THE GROUNDS AND THE TICKET PURCHASER TO THE PERMANENT LOSS OF CREDENTIALS (TICKETS).

Prohibited Items

  • Electronic devices (Cell Phones, Laptops, Tablets, Beepers, and other electronics), including devices capable of transmitting photo/video*
  • Radios, TVs, Noise or music producing devices
  • Weapons of any kind (regardless of permit)
  • Flags, Banners, or Signs
  • Cameras**
  • Chairs/Seats with pointed ends, Folding armchairs, or Rigid type chairs
  • Strollers
  • Food, Beverage, or Coolers
  • Golf Shoes with metal spikes
  • Ladders, Periscopes or Selfie sticks
  • Backpacks, Bags, and Purses larger than 10”x10”x12” (in its natural state)

* Devices such as fitness tracking bands and electronic watches are permitted. However, the use of such devices for phone calls, emails, text messaging and other photo, video, or data recording and/or transmission is prohibited.

** Cameras (still photography/personal use only) are allowed on Practice Round days-Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

Note: The The First Major Committee may prohibit other items at its discretion. ALL ITEMS ARE SUBJECT TO SEARCH.

Re-entry

Patron Tickets will be limited to a total of two entries per day.

Weather & Weather Warning Policy

Please observe all scoreboards/message boards for the WEATHER WARNING sign. This sign will appear in advance of inclement weather as information becomes available. When the sign appears, you are advised to take precautions even before play is suspended. Suspension of play will be signaled by the sounding of an air horn or similar alert. Seek shelter immediately upon hearing the alert. During periods of inclement weather, you should avoid the following:

  • Bodies of water
  • Golf carts
  • Hilltops and high places
  • Isolated trees
  • Observation stands
  • Open areas
  • Wire fences

Autograph Policy

For everyone’s safety and protection, there will be a NO AUTOGRAPH POLICY enforced on the golf course for the practice and Tournament days. Autograph seeking is only allowed around the Practice Range and on the Par 3 course during the Par 3 Contest. It is expected that all parties (patrons, press, players, etc.) will comply.

Facilities for the Physically Impaired

Facilities for the physically impaired are provided. For the safety of all concerned, it is suggested that those using wheelchairs or similar transport use the hard surfaced roads and flat observation areas as much as possible. The grass is often damp and becomes very slippery on sloped areas. As a reminder, those accompanying a physically impaired individual must also have proper credentials.

Attire

Appropriate clothing and shoes should be worn at all times. Golf shoes with metal spikes are not permitted

Animals/Pets

No animals or pets are allowed onto the grounds except animals necessary and specially trained to assist or guide the physically impaired.

For your personal safety, we ask that you exercise due care at all times. Also, please be reminded that under wet conditions the grounds may become slippery; take appropriate precautions
